Halo Stealth Pro Review

Included with the Halo Stealth Pro is a Halo camera featuring the Sony IMX 377 sensor, which allows users to shoot 4K Video at 30FPS. Not many drones have this kind of image capability along with the other impressive features. The camera can also shoot 720p, 1080p, and 2.7K if you need to save file space.

The camera is incredibly stable and taking perfectly smooth shots even while zipping along at 45mph is effortless. The best part is the camera and gimbal are detachable should you want to do some handheld shooting. Also, if you ever had a crash landing and damaged the camera, you could easily replace it with a new one.

If you're like most drone operators, you might get tired of having to control it while flying manually. It takes some serious skill to effortlessly follow objects in the sky or capture smooth, cinematic shots, but with the Halo Stealth Pro's Auto Flight features, it is impressively simple.

For example, within the drone control app, you can simply draw a line of the path you'd like the drone to follow. Press a button, and the drone will follow it automatically. Some drone purists might write this feature off as a gimmick, but I can't rave about it enough. It saves so much time, and this could be the main dealmaker for newer drone operators without the flying experience most pros have.

Another cool feature is the GPS tracking abilities of the Halo Stealth Pro. Before, following a car or a person was tricky, and took a lot of precise movements. With the Halo Stealth Pro, you can use the GPS tracking unit to automatically follow things. Simply place the tracker inside of the car, and as it moves, the drone will follow along automatically.

The Halo Stealth Pro has a unique, modern design compared to others in the category. It can fold down to help save space when traveling, although it isn't quite as small as others. Even so, it is still more compact than many others while delivering high-flying capabilities. The main body of the Halo Stealth Pro is designed with flight in mind. It offers a sleek, aerodynamic slope that will cut down on wind drag and help you soar to new heights.

One of the main advantages of choosing the Pro version over the standard Halo Stealth is the collection of accessories you get right out of the box. Included with the Halo Stealth Pro is a durable hard shell backpack that makes it easy to carry your drone out to the location while protecting it along the way.

Another great accessory is the Sports Watch Remote. This simple wrist control will give you more control over the flight of your drone without having to break out the main remote. With the press of a button, you can have the drone take off, and control a couple of other flight functions. This added convenience is greatly appreciated and makes flying much more convenient and easy.

While some other drones might limit the speed or height that you can fly, with the Halo Stealth Pro, you can break some of those limits. For instance, if you’re flying in the wind, you can go well over the quoted 45mph max speed. While this probably isn’t for everyone and makes the drone less controllable, if you know what you’re doing, you can capture some really interesting, fast moving shots with this drone. I really liked that Halo doesn’t limit the capabilities of this drone via software. Instead, anyone using this drone can access all of the power and function of the drone should they need it.
